Datsun Go Cross Preview

Datsun the low budget subsidiary of the Nissan, recently unveiled their yet to be launched MPV the Datsun Go Cross. This stylish concept car was launched in the Tokyo motor show. The concept car comes with all the attributes of an ideal cross over car and the production model could a competitor to the Maruthi Suzuki S-cross and the most successful Hyundai Creta. Since Datsun is yet to conquer the Indian market with their strong and rigid products. The Datsun Go Cross may not be a crowd puller in the cross over segment, but still would create an impact in the Indian market. The car looks great with a gorgeous and carefully carved front grill. The car from outside looks like a beats and it is equipped with great features from inside.

Datsun Go Cross Design and Exterior

In terms of design the Datsun go cross comes with a great design, since it is still a concept car. This car does not come with any design restriction, which allowed the engineers to design the car with an aggressive exterior looks. Upfront the go cross features a hexagonal front grille with thick black chrome bezel, flanked with headlamps with LED projector lights. Underneath the headlamps, a rugged bumper with an extending skid plates and LED fog lamps.

Towards the side profile you can notice the black plastic wheel  fenders and under body cladding and stylishly designed roof rails. The crossover concept also comes with 6- spoke alloy wheels and aerodynamically designed wind mirrors .The rear comes with a well sculpted tail gate with LED combination tail lamps and reflectors encased in black chrome casing the rear bumper consists of a large silver skid plate.

Datsun Go Cross Interiors & Features

The Datsun Go-Cross is simply a concept and the carmaker is yet to reveal more information regarding the production model. The interior comes with  comfortable upholstery and smartly laid out cabin. Datsun Go Plus offers driver side airbags as option in the top end variant, but considering the amount of time this GO-Cross concept might take to go into production and the new safety regulations that are set to comes to India, you can expect to see ABS and Dual Airbags.

Datsun Go Cross Engine & Specifications

The carmaker has revealed no information regarding the power train, but it is expected that a tuned version on GO plus will be available .While the Datsun Go plus has only a petrol engine variant , we can also expect a diesel variant for the cross over vehicle. The Datsun has never given an official statement regarding the launch of this vehicle, hence the vehicle was never spotted on the text track and any of the countries.

Datsun Go Cross Expected Price

Regarding the launch date, Datsun has never given an official statement about the car yet. However the concept car of Datsun Go Cross was exhibited in the Tokyo motor show. The vehicle was expected to launch in the 2nd Qtr of 2018, since the car has not hit the production line so far it, the launch of the car cannot be expected in a short period of time. The Datsun Go Cross will be priced anywhere in between 5-10 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

Datsun Go Cross Competitors

There is no certainty that this car would enter into the production line , but the growing popularity of the SUV market can  make the company to launch their cross over variant. The car is expected compete with  the most successful SUV, the Hyundai Creta and the Maruthi Suzuki S-Cross. The GO Cross may not conquer the market of the Hyundai Creta since, it is considered to be the most successful cross over vehicle in the Indian market. In case Datsun does launch the GO –Cross the crossover will be priced any where around 5- 10 lakhs.
